non-profit organization started in October 2005 by a small number of
local deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing people in Springfield,
Missouri.

DAG is celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary with a bang!

Deaf Awareness On Board Game On Sale Now!

The first real estate style board game featuring Deaf and Hard of Hearing related businesses and people. Your family and friends will love playing this game and learning about Deaf related topics or you can buy a Deaf property. This game even includes the rules on how to play the game in ASL on a DVD.
DAG officers will have the games at Deaf Chat at Pizza Plus every Friday night and at other DAG events.

September 25, 2015 (Friday) Annual Fall Deaf/HH Picnic at Phelps Grove Park in Springfield, MO.

Sponsored by Deaf Awareness Group of Southwest Missouri (DAG)
This is always a field trip for our Deaf/HH students and for some of them the only time they may meet a Deaf/HH person like them.

***If it rains we will move it indoors at First Baptist Church, 525 South Ave.

 

10 am to 2pm - Cost is $3 per person.


Cost includes: Pavilion rental, food, drinks, cups, plates, silverware and dessert.
Food will be: pasta, salad, cake and ice cream.

 (You are welcome to bring a sack lunch if you prefer to not pay the $3)

 

Who is invited? The Deaf/HH community, Students, Interpreters, Deaf Educators, Sign Language Students, Parents, Friends and Family are all welcome to attend

this event.


What to bring? Lawn chairs, football, softball/gloves or any outdoor activity, sunscreen or proper clothing depending on the weather.

 

 

** Attention Teachers: DAG is celebrating 10 years of service to the Springfield area and we want to know how many students you will be bringing so we can have a surprise for the students. Please contact Linda at cheek2cheek7@yahoo.com to register your students for this special gift.

October 19, 2014- (Monday) - Deaf Night/Fundraiser at Pizza Inn-  
Sponsored by Deaf Awareness Group of Southwest Missouri (DAG)
Come catch up with friends and be served by signing volunteers for a special night of their pizza, salad and dessert buffet at Pizza Inn.
Where? Pizza Inn at 1425 West Battlefield in Springfield, MO
Cost? Buffet is $7.29 Adults and $2.99 for Kids (ages 4 to 10) Drinks are $1.89 for Adults and $1.29 for Kids (Pizza Inn prices subject to change)
Time? 6pm to 8pm (please do not arrive early. A DAG volunteer must serve you. If a Pizza Inn waitress serves you the money will not benefit DAG.)
